Alsager Town's 2-0 win over Barnoldswick Town, both goals were scored by Josh Lane as the Bullets missed a penalty before taking the lead on the stroke of half time. In the second half the bullets double their lead as the ball bounces off the had of a Barnoldswick defender for Lane to lock on to the ball 1 on 1 with the keeper and slots hope to the relief of the crowd at the Wood Park stadium.
Alsager Town FC are now away on 21st April to Congleton Town FC the 26th April at home to Wigan Robin Park FC. Points will be needed to avoid the drop.
The club are hoping a booster crowd on April the 26th April 2014 as this is the last game of the season and we are at home.

The game against Barnoldswick was a good game to watch. At last the team got the positive result it deserved. There's still a lot of work to do to get out of the bottom two, (and we also are dependent upon some other results going our way), but Saturday's win must have lifted the players' spirits ready in preparation for this afternoon's game at Congleton.
A win today will move the club above Bacup (who don't play their penultimate game until Wednesday), and would also take us above Squires Gate, should they lose their local derby with AFC Blackpool this afternoon.
A draw today would mean that we must finish above Wigan, unless Wigan can win both their final two games with phenomenal scores to overcome a goal difference deficit of 26.
Defeat today would mean that we would finish bottom if Wigan win their last two games (even by one goal each).

Hopefully with the experience Phil has had with Nantwich and with the close relationship we can use the mentality and the connections to build on from next season.
