Phil Parkinson and his squads morale was high with the win on Saturday well bank holiday Monday sees Alsager Town FC win back to back games with a 3-2 victory over Congleton Town FC. Jordan Elcock opened the scoring for the bullets with 10 minutes on the clock, but the bears hit back with a goal from Michael Koral on the 25th minute and an own goal on the 39th minute put the bears 2-1 up at half time. In the second half the bullets come out on top again with 2 minutes on the clock Elcock bagged his 2nd of the game and within 8 minutes of the restart Josh Lane grabbed his 2nd goal in 2 games to put the bullets 3-2 up and the lads held on and won the game.

After last night's draw by Bacup, the bottom of the table now reads:
18 Abbey Hey 41 9 12 20 46 85 -39 39
19 Bacup & Rossen 41 9 11 21 37 67 -30 38
20 Alsager Town 41 10 7 24 54 83 -29 37
21 Squires Gate 41 11 4 26 49 88 -39 37
22 Wigan Robin Park 40 7 8 25 51 109 -58 29
In the final games, on Saturday, Alsager simply need to equal or better Squires Gate's performance (regarding W, D or L). (The only exception to this is if Alsager lose or Squires Gate win by a margin of 12 goals or more - which we can probably discount)
The one other way for Alsager to guarantee survival is if Alsager draw and Bacup lose.
Let's hope the Bullets go for, and get, the win they deserve, and then the results of Abbey Hey, Bacup and Squires Gate will not affect Alsager's survival.

Seeing how Wigan are currently playing we are more than likely to win, shame we can not get a few more through the gate, seems as Port Vale are playing tomorrow night (25/04/14).
